Hussainabad police in Palamu have seized 2 desi kattas along with 2 rounds of fire. A stolen bike was also recovered.
Giving this information the officer in charge of the Hussainabad police station Sanjay Yadav said "These two kattas and the two live rounds, one each, were in the possession of Manish Kumar Yadav, 20 and Indrajeet Kumar, 25."
One Chandan Kumar Paswan, 20, had sold these illicit arms and ammunition to Manish and Indrajeet for worth rupees 16,000 rupees together.
Police officer Yadav said "Chandan had procured these illicit arms and ammunition from another person under the Pandu police station."
Manish and Indrajeet just bought it which is itself an offence under the Arms act added police officer Yadav.
Indrajeet hails from Haidernagar police station while Manish and Chandan come from Hussainabad police station.
Police officer Yadav said the trio Chandan, Manish and Indrajeet were on the Imliya Bandh bridge on November 18.
Police were tipped off about their having some deal for the illicit arms.
Hussainabad police team led by the officer in charge Sanjay Yadav rushed to the location where the three seeing police tried to escape who were overpowered.
The three were arrested under sections of the Arms act and Bhartiya Nayaya Sanhita.
The trio were remanded to judicial custody today in Daltonganj.
