Hindi is an expression of emotions towards Motherland

Governor Mangubhai Patel emphasized that Hindi is more than just a language; it embodies emotions and devotion towards the motherland.

He highlighted the importance of adopting hindi as a language and simplification of regional words for the ongoing development, prosperity, and widespread use of Hindi. Governor Patel made these remarks while addressing the Hindi-speaking litterateurs and the Hindi Seva Samman ceremony organized by the Madhya Pradesh Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti.

He extended his greetings and best wishes to the honored writers, administrative officers, Hindi Seva Sadhaks, and young litterateurs.

Governor Mangubhai Patel noted that in recent decades, the reach of Hindi has expanded not only in non-Hindi speaking states but also internationally.

He remarked that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the popularity of the Hindi language has grown unprecedentedly. When Prime Minister Modi addresses global forums in Hindi, the world listens with keen interest.

The Governor highlighted that the new National Education Policy places special emphasis on enhancing opportunities for education and teaching in Hindi and other regional languages. He also pointed out that Madhya Pradesh pioneers in India to offer complete education of subjects like engineering and medicine in Hindi. Additionally, he praised the Madhya Pradesh Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti for advancing Mahatma Gandhi's vision of national unity through Hindi.

Governor Shri Patel said that we have to cultivate the interest of non-Hindi speakers towards Hindi, understand their difficulties. It has to be resolved.

Efforts should be considered to engage non-Hindi speakers on social media platforms and encourage discussions in Hindi. Governor Shri Patel said that the possibilities of using websites and digital platforms should be considered to make Hindi global and boost people's interest. Initiatives to honour those who have contributed to the linguistic development of Hindi and those who have made professional achievements in the field of Hindi are also necessary.

Hindi Sevi Samman given in different categories

Governor Shri Patel presented Hindi Sevi Samman-2024 in the function. He honoured litterateurs, administrative officers and Hindi Seva Sadhaks in different categories. The awards included non-Hindi speaking Hindi Sevi, Vishisht Hindi Sevi Samman, Sthapit Samman and Samman for young litterateurs.

Governor Shri Patel inaugurated the programme by offering worship to Maa Saraswati and lighting the lamp. He garlanded the pictures of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri. Patel was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers, shawl and shrifal by the Prachar Samiti. On this occasion, he was also presented with the monthly magazine of the Samiti.

The welcome address was given by the Secretary Director of the Samiti, Shri Kailash Chandra Pant. Shri Raghunandan Sharma gave the presidential address. The vote of thanks was expressed by the Vice President of the Samiti, Dr. Ranjana Argade, Joint Secretary Dr. Sangam Saxena, retired senior administrative officer Dr. Manoj Srivastava, respected writers, litterateurs and their family members were present in the program.
