The swearing-in ceremony, set to take place at Ranchi’s Morhabadi ground, a venue previously used for similar events, is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 50,000 people. Preparations are in full swing, with elaborate decorations and arrangements being finalized.
Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari has reviewed the event preparations to ensure everything is on track, while Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Varun Ranjan and SSP Chandan Sinha are overseeing administrative and security arrangements. Authorities have emphasized strict security protocols to ensure a seamless event.
Later in the day, Soren along with his wife and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren inspected the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony. On this occasion, he took information from the officials about the stage construction, decoration, electricity, sound and security arrangements at the venue and the welcome of the guests and the seating arrangements for the visitors.
He said that there should be a strong arrangement for transportation and parking of vehicles to the venue, so that no problem of any kind arises. He told the officials that all other necessary facilities along with drinking water should be available here.
Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel, Secretary Amitabh Kaushal, Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi Varun Ranjan, Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Sinha and many other officials were present on the occasion.
Earlier in the day, Soren visited his ancestral village, Nemra in Ramgarh district, to pay tribute to his grandfather Sobaran Soren on his martyrdom day. At Lukaiyatand, where a statue of his grandfather stands, Soren, accompanied by his wife Kalpana Soren, honored his memory by laying a garland.
During the visit, he reflected on the struggles of the people of Jharkhand against exploitation and spoke about the sacrifices of their ancestors in the pursuit of justice and equality. “Our forefathers have inspired us to continue the fight for rights and justice. Their sacrifices remind us to stay committed to the path of equality and dignity,” Soren stated.
On social media, he shared a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging the contributions of his grandfather, Master Sobaran Manjhi, and reiterating the importance of education as a transformative tool for society. "Saluting my revered grandfather on his martyrdom day… The people of Jharkhand have endured and resisted oppression for centuries. Their courage inspires our fight for rights and justice," he wrote.
