Keeping in view the increasing temperature and extreme heat in Ujjain district, on the instructions of Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh, a heat stroke ward has been created in the district hospital for quick treatment of patients affected by heat stroke or heat stroke.
This seven bedded heat stroke ward is equipped with necessary facilities. On Saturday, Collector Singh reached the district hospital and inspected the heat stroke ward. He took information from the Civil Surgeon District Hospital about the arrangements at the heat stroke ward and the treatment of patients affected by heat.
Civil Surgeon Verma said that 24×7 medical and other staff arrangements have been made for the treatment of patients in the said ward. There is also adequate availability of medicines required for the treatment of heat stroke. Two additional beds have also been arranged in the ICU ward for the treatment of serious patients. During this time, Collector Singh also inspected the general ward and gave instructions to provide better treatment to the patients. During the inspection, Civil Surgeon District Hospital PN Verma and other officers were present.
