Healing therapist cheated of Rs 44 lakh in name of buying land for ashram

Kolar police have booked an employee of healing therapist for cheating his master of Rs 44 lakh, accused had taken the money in the name of buying land to build an ashram.

The police have registered a case in this matter. Search for the accused is on.

According to TI Ashutosh Upadhyay, Yogendra Mishra, who lives in Sai Sidda Homes, does healing therapy, his employee Prince Goyal also worked with him. He was originally from Punjab. The accused used to look after all the work related to his office. The accused had won Yogendra's trust. Taking advantage of this, he deceived the complainant to get him land to build an ashram. Because Yogendra was already looking for land for the ashram.

He agreed to buy the land mentioned by the accused. Taking advantage of this, the accused took Rs 44 lakh from the complainant in five installments by telling him about the expenses of buying the land, getting it constructed and other expenses including registration.

The accused had also given fake documents to Complainant Yogendra, who trusted him to such an extent that he gave so much money to the accused without seeing the land, just on the basis of documents.

The accused left saying he was going to Punjab and never returned.

The incident took place between April 1, 2023 and December 2023. For a long time, he kept on giving false assurances of returning soon on calls. From March 2024, he even stopped picking up the complainant's calls. After which a complaint was lodged in the police station. After about three months of investigation, the police have registered an FIR.

Meanwhile in another case of fraud Home Guard personnel was cheated of Rs 6 lakh in the name of giving plot(land).

Kolar police said that Surya Narayan Toraniya is Home Guard personnel who reported that that broker Jitendra Wadhwani and Richa Gaur had shown him a plot in village Imalia Jagir.

The accused had told Surya Narayan that they wanted to sell the plot. Not only this, the accused had also taken about Rs 6 lakh  from Surya Narayan for the plot. Later it was found out that the plot was not his. When the matter was revealed, the victim had given an application to the police. After investigating the application, the police registered a case.
