Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the crucial role a Guru plays in our lives, explaining that the word "Guru" signifies one who guides us from darkness to light. He highlighted that former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, dedicated his birthday to honoring teachers.
While extending his Teacher's Day wishes to all educators across the state, Yadav praised their dedication to shaping a better generation through their diligent efforts. Speaking at the Teachers' Day function in Ujjain on Thursday, Dr. Yadav noted that Goswami Tulsidas contributed to establishing and honoring Hindi and Sanskrit as the primary languages of Indian society. He remarked that our dialects evolve into languages over time. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of noted litterateurs Madhavrao Sapre and Makhanlal Chaturvedi to the development of Hindi as a national language. Additionally, the Chief Minister congratulated the teachers who were honored on Teacher's Day.
Yadav was addressing the Shikshak Samman Samaroha-2024 organized at Government Higher Secondary School of Excellence, Madhav Nagar in Ujjain. Among those who were present on this occasion were Rajya Sabha MP Balayogi Umeshnath Ji Maharaj, MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, MLA Ghatitaya area Satish Malviya, Bahadur Singh Bormundla, Local Corporator Durga Shakti Singh Choudhary, public representatives, School Education Secretary Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Commissioner of Public Instructions, Shilpa Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh and other officers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav explained that the word "Guru" originates from Sanskrit, emphasizing that by upholding the Guru-Shishya tradition, we remain connected to Sanatan culture. He highlighted the Guru's vital role in guiding us from darkness to light and stressed that a Guru's wisdom is essential for transforming bad governance into good governance. Dr. Yadav also expressed his satisfaction with the government's decision to rename the title of Kulpati (Vice Chancellor) to Kulguru.
Teachers of Ujjain district who gave 100 percent results in high school and higher secondary board examinations were honored by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with shawls, shriphal, and certificates. Besides, 11 ISO-certified cluster principals of Ujjain were also honored with ISO certificates.
In his address, while remembering former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that dialects gradually evolve into full-fledged languages. He remarked that Hindi has undergone significant development over the past thousand years. The Chief Minister highlighted that, despite being a Sanskrit scholar, Goswami Tulsidas played a crucial role in establishing Hindi as the language of society. By composing the Ramcharitmanas in Hindi, Tulsidas ji brought the Ramayana into every home.
Reflecting on his father, Chief Minister Yadav shared that while the body is mortal, his father taught him the importance of making good use of time by following the path of truth. The Chief Minister extended his warm wishes to all the teachers present at the event on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. He also took a group photograph with the teachers during the programme.
Yadav’s was heard at the Teacher’s Day function organized at the Government Subhash Higher Secondary School of Excellence, Shivaji Nagar and Bhopal besides several other places in the state. Also, a large number of teachers and students heard his address on various social media platforms.
