Gunga police have nabbed two persons accused of killing a 35-year-old man at Dillaud village of Gunga.
The body of a man was found in Dillaud of Gunga on June 12 2024. Serious marks of injuries were found on the head of the deceased.
After the post-mortem, the police registered a case of murder and started investigating the case. Five different teams were engaged in the search of the unknown killers. The name of a suspect came to the fore in the technical investigation. An old rivalry between the deceased and this suspect came to the fore.
The deceased and his nephew had eloped with the niece of the main accused from her in-laws' house. They also kept her with them for a few days. With the intention of taking revenge for this, the girl's uncle, along with two accomplices, committed the murder. The police have arrested three accused in the case.
SP Rural Pramod Kumar Sinha said that the body of Bhura alias Sher Singh Rajput of Chakkhedi, was found in the bushes on the roadside in village Dillaud on June 12. After the body was identified, the police started the investigation. During the investigation, it was revealed that Bhura and his nephew had eloped with Babu Rajput's niece, who lived in the same village, from her in-laws' house even after she was married.
They had kept her with them in their house for some time. There have been disputes between the two sides on this issue in the past as well. Based on suspicion, the search for Babu was started. Then it was found that he had not returned home since Bhura's murder, which deepened the suspicion on him. Teams were deployed to search for him.
According to the SP, on Sunday, information was received from an informer that the accused Babu Gunga was going to meet someone. After surveillance, the accused was arrested. He told during interrogation that Bhura had earlier misbehaved with his father and beaten him. Bhura was also involved in ruining his niece's home. Not only this, he had also implicated him in a false case in the past.
Fed up with all these things, he had hatched a conspiracy of murder along with his friend Surendra Mehar and Bhopali Dhanak. They were given Rs. 30,000 each to involve them in the murder. After thorough recce, Bhura was surrounded and killed.
