Govindpura police have nabbed two drug peddlers and seized about 3 kilograms of Cannabis Rs 55000, investigation of source and seller network is under investigation.
Police said on March 31 during the night patrolling when they reached near the DPI building, two youths suddenly started running after seeing the police vehicle. Both of them ran towards the Gautam Nagar police post, whom we surrounded with the help of the staff and caught him. When asked about the reason for running away, they failed to provide a correct reply.
The two were identified as Arju Purviya(25) of Kargil Basti, Govindpura and Bablu Uike(26) Kargil Basti, Govindpura.
During the investigation the drugs which was Cannabis was found to be weighing 2.995 kg worth Rs 55,000.
Police registered a case under section 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act.
The crime record of the accused is under investigation. The police are continuously conducting operations to catch illegal drug traffickers in the city and based on information regarding the drug peddlers police immediately took action on the information received.
The accused failed to provide documents related to Cannabis and was arrested and the source from where the accused brings the drug and where does he dispose is under investigation. The accused used to find the retail customers by bringing drugs at cheap prices and selling it in small quantities in Bhopal and nearby areas.
The drug peddlers are involved in the crime for how long it is yet to be investigated and their local network has to be revealed.
