Giving 30, 000 job is Jumla: Sudesh Mahto

Former Deputy Chief Minister cum AJSU Party President Sudesh Kumar Mahto, on Wednesday, termed the claim of the Hemant Government to give 30,000 jobs by September as a Jumla.

Mahto said that the State Government, which got the mandate by promising to give jobs to 5 lakh youth every year, has been able to give only 8287 appointments in 5 years, out of which 6426 appointments were announced in the former Raghubar Das Government.

The party Chief said that completing the 5-year term and seeing the elections coming near, the Government publishing advertisements for 30 thousand jobs by September is just another Jumla  to deceive the youth. “Last month, former Chief Minister Champai Soren had talked about giving 40,000 jobs, but as soon as the chair changed, 10,000 jobs disappeared in a few days. This is another dark chapter of the Government's insensitivity towards the youth,” he added.

Mahto said that the Government is playing with the sentiments of the youth as well as their future in the name of appointment. “Time is needed to complete the examination process, which this Government does not have now. Before announcing new appointments, the Government should fulfill the demands of the youth who are on the streets for their posting and appointment letters,” he added.
