The Forum of Ophthalmic Teachers of India (FOTI), a distinguished scientific body comprising ophthalmic educators from across the nation, presented the esteemed Sushrut Samman to Dr. Bhavana Sharma. The award ceremony took place during the 7th National Assembly held recently at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi under the presidency of Prof. J S Titiyal.
Sushrut Samman, the highest recognition bestowed by FOTI, is an accolade presented annually to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the field of ophthalmology. This year, the honor was conferred upon Dr. Bhavana Sharma, acknowledging her outstanding achievements and dedication to the advancement of ophthalmic education and practice.
The 7th National Assembly, hosted at AIIMS Delhi, provided a platform for leading minds in ophthalmology to convene and discuss the latest advancements in the field. The assembly was presided over by Prof. J S Titiyal, further enhancing the prestige of the event.
Dr. Bhavana Sharma, Prof & Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at AIIMS Bhopal, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the Sushrut Samman.
