Abrupt weather conditions continued to disrupt normal life as hot and humid conditions coupled with hailstorms, thunderstorms and rainfall have been witnessed across the state.
There is a possibility of hailstorm and strong thunderstorm along with lightning in South Chhindwara, Dindori, Seoni, North Balaghat and Amarkantak of Anuppur.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in the weather in the next few hours. The wind speed here can be up to 70 km per hour. Similarly, thunderstorms and rain are likely to continue in North Neemuch, Pandhurna, Mandla. There may be light rain with lightning and thunder in South Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Ratlam, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Indore, Dhar, South Betul, South Singrauli, East Jabalpur, South Shahdol and Umaria districts.
The Meteorological Department said that due to Western Disturbance, trough line and cyclonic circulation, the weather will remain the same. There will also be the effect of heat in Niwari and Chhatarpur districts. Earlier, on Friday, it rained in many districts including Dhar, Ratlam, Katni, Chhindwara during the day.
Earlier, there has been intermittent heavy rain in Barwani and Dewas since Saturday night. Bhopal also received rain after 1 am. Here, heavy rain with thunder and lightning occurred in Manawar of Dhar. In Indore, after light rain on Friday afternoon, rain started again at midnight. It drizzled intermittently in different parts till 8 am. Now clouds are overcast with a drop in temperature, due to which the weather is cool.
The weather changed at night in the Barwani district headquarters and surrounding rural areas. It rained with strong wind after 2 am late at night. The rain continued for more than 5 hours. Trees also collapsed due to the storm, due to which power supply was also affected at many places. It has been raining since Saturday morning.
IMD Bhopal said, due to the western disturbance, cyclonic circulation and trough line, there is a period of storm and rain in the state. At the same time, there is also the effect of heat in some districts. Similar weather will remain in the coming days as well. On the other hand, the monsoon is continuously moving forward at its pace. In such a situation, there is a possibility of it reaching Madhya Pradesh on time.
