Farmers of over 100 villages of Berasia-Huzur in the state capital have demanded crop survey for compensation, due to excessive rains, soybean crops were destroyed in about 100 villages of Berasia-Huzur in Bhopal.
In such a situation, farmers are demanding a crop survey. On Monday, many farmers met MLA Rameshwar Sharma.
Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh reached many villages and took information about the crop.
Other crops including soybean have been damaged due to excessive rains. Due to this, Collector Singh reached the villages of Ratibad Road and Sehore Road.
Earlier, the farmers reached Yuva Sadan and discussed with MLA Sharma. On which MLA Sharma discussed with the collector about the survey.
After the discussion, Collector Singh and SDM Huzur Vinod Sonkia reached Mundla village where he sat in the Chaupal and openly discussed with the villagers about the crop and other problems. Collector Singh assured that all the problems of the farmers will be resolved soon.
On Monday, farmers of many villages also showed their ruined soybean crop to MLA Rameshwar Sharma.
This time, more than 51 inches of rainfall has been recorded in Bhopal district. In the Berasia area, the figure has gone up to more than 60 inches. Due to this, the crops have been affected here.
Farmers are demanding a survey which could help in providing compensation.
MLA Vishnu Khatri, Zilla Parishad member Vinay Mehar have written a letter to the collector to conduct a survey. On Monday, Huzur MLA Sharma also made this demand.
Zilla Panchayat member Vinay Mehar said there has been good rain in Berasia. Due to this, the soybean crop has been damaged. Several farms are still water-logged due to which crop has been destroyed up to 70%. The grain has sprouted. The farmer will not get the appropriate price for it. I have personally visited the fields and seen the condition of the crops. Khitwas, Juna Pani, Bagapura, Nidanpur, Chataheri Babchia, Talaiya Shah, Barkheda Yakub, Dungaria, Dhaturia, Dohaya, Sohaya etc. villages are more affected by the heavy rains.
