The Ranchi Mind Fest, organized by the Crossword Association of Jharkhand (CWAJ), Leefam Ventures, and the Jharkhand Police Department, and sponsored by the State Bank of India, was a hub of excitement and fun. Students from various schools and colleges participated in the General Quiz and the Cryptic Crossword Contest. Among them, students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, excelled in both contests with flying colors.

Ritu Raj, Shabd Mishra, and Atharva Pandey, all from DPS Ranchi, clinched the first prize in the General Quiz Contest, while Ashmit Raj from Hansraj College, Delhi, secured the first position in the Cryptic Crossword Contest. Archana Thakur and Sunil Thakur were awarded the “Star Performer” trophy for their excellent performance in both contests.

The winners were awarded by the Chief Guest, Ajay Kumar Singh, DGP Jharkhand, and Chief Mentor of the event, RERA-Bihar Chairman Vivek Kumar Singh, along with other dignitaries and distinguished guests present at the event.

Senior Officers from the Jharkhand Government who graced the event included Kumar Sanjay, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Bihar and Jharkhand Region,Vishwajit Sinha, AGM, SBI, Shashi Singh, Director Primary Education, AP Singh, IAS (Retd), President, CWAJ, RK Mallik, ADG, Headquarters, Prashant Singh, CMD, Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation, Ajoy Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, Rakesh Ranjan, Commandant, JAP-1, Prabhat Kumar, Advisor, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Raj Narayan Singh, Secretary, CWAJ and Alkhileshwar Singh, Executive Member, CWAJ.

Participants were awarded in the School, College, and Open categories in both contests.

Alan Cowell conducted a brief session on cryptic crosswords to apprise the students of the skill. Volunteers from the Jharkhand Armed Police contributed to making the event a grand success.
