The Bokaro District Swimming Association (BDSA) is set to hold a trial cum selection camp on June 23rd, aiming to identify and nurture swimming talent from across the district. The event will take place at the Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro swimming pool, beginning at 6:00 AM. This initiative is open to swimmers from colleges, schools, and clubs within the district.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, President of BDSA and Principal of DPS Bokaro, announced that the camp's top performers will earn the opportunity to represent Bokaro in the 14th Jharkhand State Senior Swimming Championship 2024. This championship is scheduled for June 29th at the JRD Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
The selection trials will feature a range of events in the Open Category for both men and women. These events include Free Style, Back Stroke, Breast Stroke, Butterfly Stroke, Individual Medley, Freestyle Relay, and Medley Relay. Prospective participants must present valid identity and local address proof and arrive in appropriate swimming attire.
Successful candidates will join the Jharkhand Swimming team, representing the state at the 77th Glenmark Senior National Swimming Championship 2024, organized by the Swimming Federation of India. This prestigious national event is set for September 2024.
