DPS Bokaro celebrates 38th Foundation Day with splendour

Delhi Public School Bokaro celebrated its 38th Foundation Day on July 2, 2024, in the Ashwaghosh Kala Kshetra with great enthusiasm and zeal. The illustrious presence of Ajay Kumar Singh (IPS), Director General of Police, Jharkhand, as the Chief Guest, alongside Dr. Michael Raj S (IPS), Inspector General of Police North Chotanagpur Zone,  Surendra Kumar Jha (IPS), Deputy Inspector General of Police, Coalfield Range, Bokaro, and  Pujya Prakash (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Bokaro, as the Guests of Honour, graced the event. Principals from numerous prominent schools in Bokaro and other dignitaries were also present.

The program commenced with a sapling presentation, aligning with the school’s ‘Go Green’ initiative, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The celebration featured a cultural fiesta and a felicitation ceremony for outstanding performers. The talented vocalists presented a melodious musical rendition, captivating the audience, while power-packed dance performances, including a dance on the theme ‘Save Earth,’ highlighted environmental issues.

Over 400 students were felicitated by the esteemed guests for their perfect attendance, commending their dedication. Additionally, winners of the Aryabhatta Mathematics Competition 2024 from schools across Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal were honored with cash prizes, trophies, and certificates.

Addressing the gathering, Ajay Kumar Singh (IPS), Director General of Police, Jharkhand, emphasized the vital role of youth in nation-building, noting that academic excellence, character building, and social well-being are crucial for making a nation great. He advised youngsters to use social media judiciously for their health, safety, and security and commended the school’s philanthropic efforts through ‘Deepansh Shiksha Kendra’ and ‘Koshish.’

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar expressed gratitude to the notable guests for their presence and motivation. He highlighted the school’s achievements and emphasized the importance of being grateful to parents and spending quality time with them.

The 38th Foundation Day celebration showcased the school’s rich legacy, academic and co-curricular excellence, and commitment to continued excellence. A special assembly was also organized to mark the occasion.
