The Jharkhand Legal Services Authority has taken cognizance of a road accident and has ordered the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi to immediately meet the injured mother and her family members and provide necessary legal aid.

JHALSA took cognizance of the road accident on Bahu Bazar Kantatoli road, published in the newspaper, in which an uncontrollable car hit a mother and son riding a scooter, in which 11-year-old boy Priyanshu died and his mother Roma Kumari was seriously injured.

In the light of this instruction, Judicial Commissioner-cum-Chairman DLSA, Ranchi, Diwakar Pandey ordered the DLSA Secretary to immediately form a team and provide legal aid to the family of the deceased.

In the light of this order, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, Kamlesh Behera, Secretary DLSA, PLV Vicky Chaudhary and Snehlata Dubey met the family of the deceased at Medica Hospital and assured appropriate action and asked the investigator of the case to take immediate appropriate action against the accused.

It is known that in this incident, an FIR has been lodged against the accused under sections 281, 125, 105, 106 of BNS. Along with this, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi also assured to take immediate action in this case.

The family of the victim was informed about the free legal aid provided by DLSA and a Pro-Bono learned advocate, Mamta Shrivastava was also appointed for their legal assistance.

The working PLV Snehlata Dubey was directed to receive the compensation application from the victim and submit it to DLSA. Submit it in the office, so that relief can be provided as soon as possible by sending the victim's application to Disaster Management and MACT in this regard.
