District level arm wrestling championship will be held under the aegis of Gwalior Arm Wrestling Welfare Association at Bal Bhawan, City Center, Gwalior on 21 January 2024.

Speaking to media persons here today, Dr. Keshav Pandey, President of Gwalior Arm Wrestling Welfare Association said that the competition will start from 8:00 am on Sunday. Secretary of Gwalior Arm Wrestling Welfare Association and Director of Greenwood School, Dr Aditya Bhadauria told that in this competition, players who compete will be divided into weight groups and age groups.

The main categories are as follows, Sub Junior, Junior, Senior, Women category, Disabled category etc. Keshav Pandey added that medals and certificate will be given to the winning players in the competition and the winning players will get a chance to participate in the state level arm wrestling competition which is going to be held in Bhopal on January 28. Secretary of the organization, Dr Aditya Bhadauria further said that Gwalior has become the hub of arm wrestling, and national and international players are being prepared in Gwalior.

World Championship and Gwalior Arm Wrestling coaches Manish Kumar and Bhupendra Kant were also present in the meeting. World Champion Manish Kumar said that this competition is the first district arm wrestling competition after Pro Panja League Season 1.

In this competition, the focus of the players will be to get into the state level arm wrestling competition, and then onto the national level competition. Bhupendra Kant said that the registration to participate in the competition will be held on January 15 and 16, 2024 at Gwalior Arm Wrestling Academy, JC Mills, Birla Nagar.
