Dhanbad witnesses sudden rise in crime, coal and sand smuggling

Dhanbad witnesses  sudden burst in crime including   coal and sand smuggling  after brief lull during tha assembly elections.

 Yet another chapter was added on Sunday late evening  in the ongoing gang war  between Washeepur gangsters with  henchmen claimed to be  of  absconding Prince Khan  opened fire on Sonu Khan  brother of Fahim Khan presenting a serving life sentence at Jamshedpur.. The two twowheeler  bourn assail opened fire on Sonu  near his residence located in Washeepur locality  and escaped. Police are investigating the matter, claimed DSP law and order here , who had reached the spot after the incident.

In other parts there had been a sudden rise in coal and sand mining and transportation that had remained nil during the election period.

Illegal sand miners even manhandled Govindpur circle officers who attempted to stop them. Reports from coal bearing areas like Nirsa Baghmara besides others suggest that illegal mining and transportation has increased. Though police and mining  task force officials have succeeded in seizure of some illegally mined coal, seizures are the tip of the iceberg, claim insiders.
