Delhi CM betrayed Congress as expected: BJP president

Monday, 12 February 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday said here the AAP supremo has betrayed Congress as expected, and in doing so his claim to win all seven seats in Delhi might even surprise Mungerilal.

Making this assertion, Sachdeva also said until yesterday, Kejriwal was talking about an alliance with Congress to win one or two seats, now he is claiming to win all 7 alone, making a mockery of himself.

Sachdeva said Delhi BJP has been continuously saying since 2013 that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not a trustworthy person, and the way he has used political colleagues and sidelined them, it would not be an exaggeration to say that an old adage - There is none amongst known whom he hasn’t cheated - fits on Kejriwal perfectly.

The Delhi BJP President said until now, Kejriwal had been deceiving political colleagues like Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan, Kumar Vishwas, Kapil Mishra, Shazia Ilmi, etc., but now he is deceiving other parties like Congress in the name of the ‘Indi alliance’.

The Delhi BJP President said we have been saying consistently that Kejriwal will not form an alliance with Congress or any other party. Just two days ago he announced to fight alone in Punjab showing his workers the dream of winning all the 14 seats by contesting alone in Punjab and Chandigarh and today Kejriwal has claimed to contest and win all the 7 seats in Delhi, leaving Congress in shock of contesting alone.

Sachdeva said the way Kejriwal has forced most of his original party members to quit politics, similarly, he has not spared Congress either by surprising announcement to contest all seven seats alone after long alliance talk.

Sachdeva said Kejriwal travels across the country, confusing people with his education and health models along with stories of free electricity, but now the people of the country are well aware of the failure of his schemes and will not be misled anymore.

He said among the people across the country, the schoolroom scam has exposed his education model while the fake medicines scam has exposed his healthcare model. People have come to know that most of Delhi’s electricity consumers, especially those with commercial connections, have to buy the country’s most expensive electricity. Staff Reporter n New Delhi
