In an intensive scrutiny exercise led by the Bokaro District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Vijaya Jadhav, at the collectorate on Saturday, several departments underwent meticulous inspection. Prompt directives were issued to rectify identified shortcomings promptly. Notable officials including AMC Chas Saurav Kumar Bhuvaniya, and Additional Collector Mumtaz Ansari, were present during the inspection, which triggered a stir among the staff following discussions on the state of affairs.
The District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner scrutinized key departments including the Election Office, Welfare Office, Supply Office, Revenue Office, and Land Acquisition Office. During the inspection, glaring issues such as untidiness, disorganized filing systems, and malfunctioning electronic devices were sternly highlighted, drawing deep concern. Concerned heads of departments and office bearers were instructed to ensure thorough cleaning of their respective offices within two days.
Furthermore, directives were issued to segregate old files and store them securely in designated areas, with each file categorized using color-coded labels. Additionally, departments were mandated to expedite the disposal of files older than ten years as per prescribed guidelines. The District Electoral Officer emphasized the importance of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the Collectorate premises, directing the concerned officials to oversee the thorough cleaning process carried out by designated agencies and their staff.
The inspection also served as an opportunity to gather insights into the operational efficiency and progress of various departments.
