It has been conceptualised to identify bright minds with a scientific aptitude from the student community. VVM is a national program for popularizing science among school students. In the recently organised national camp organized at IISER, Bhopal from 18 may to 19 may , the children of DAV Hazaribagh have brought pride to their school and city by securing three top positions at the national level. DAV's Ayush Raj, Class VI stood first in East Zone in his group, Saumya Palak, Class XI stood third in East Zone in her category and Dikshita Singh, currently a student of Class XII broke all the previous records. She set a new record by securing third place at National Level and became the National Himalayan 3rd rank scorer, For this achievement, Dikshita Singh will be given a cash prize of Rs 10,000 as well as a Bhaskar Scholarship Award of Rs 2,000 per month for one year. Not only this, Dikshita Singh is also being given an internship opportunity in Chandigarh for a week by the Government of India. Ayush has also been awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000 for securing first position and Soumya has been awarded a cash prize of Rs 2000 for securing third position. It is noteworthy that four students of DAV Hazaribagh had qualified for the national level, out of which three students registered their brilliant presence in the national level competition by securing top three positions. It may be noted that at the national level, there are four winners from Jharkhand in the Eastern region, out of which only three are children of DAV Hazaribagh. Certainly it is a matter of pride and happiness for the school. Last year, only one student had won the national level competition of VVM, but this year three children displayed their talent.

Principal in-charge of the school, Kavita Pandey congratulated the children and their parents on the excellent success of these students in this prestigious competition. Expressing happiness,  Pandey said that this achievement is the result of hard work of the students, continuous support of their parents and proper guidance of dedicated teachers. She especially congratulated the science teachers, especially Physics teachers Tohid Akhtar and Rajendra Roy for continuously preparing the students with new strategies, due to which DAV Hazaribagh is touching new heights every day.
