India’s largest entrepreneurship competition for school students, Youth Ideathon 2024, was held in New Delhi, attracting over 1.8 lakh young innovators. Among them, DAV Public School, Sector-4, Bokaro, stood out as the only school from Jharkhand to make it to the prestigious top 100 out of 53,000 entries nationwide.
The event, which took place on October 9 and 10, 2024, at IIT Delhi, showcased the creativity and ingenuity of the final 100 teams, celebrating the spirit of innovation among India's youth. The students of DAV Public School, Sector-4, impressed the panel of judges with their unique ideas and secured a place among India’s top schools.
The school's innovative team comprised students Khushal Vyas, Kundan Jha, and Rishabh Kumar from Class 12, whose idea was selected from a pool of 53,000 entries. After advancing through stages of 1,500, then the top 500, they successfully made it into the top 100. Their project was presented in front of investors, demonstrating creativity and entrepreneurial potential with the aim of raising crowd-funding for their innovation.
Principal Sarbendu Shekhar Kar and mentor Poonam Kumari played a pivotal role in guiding the students toward this remarkable achievement. The principal praised the students and emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity and innovation in young minds.
