In a program held the other day at the Tool and Gauge (TGM) Department of BHEL, Bhopal, SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal and Rupesh Telang, General Manager (Feeders) handed over the compound tool for rim punching of Cheela Hydroelectric Project to the head of the Press shop department.
Ramanathan highly praised the performance of the Tool and Gauge Manufacturing Department. He also urged to add new customers for the products of the department and increase the income of the company by making different products as per the needs of the customer. On this occasion Shri Ramanathan & Shri Telang also planted saplings, reflecting BHEL's environmental protection policy and commitment towards the environment.
In the financial year 2023-24, the TGM department has set a record by successfully manufacturing ten pieces of heavy press tools so far. It is noteworthy here that for the first time, stripper of rim punching tool of size larger than 500 x 800 mm was manufactured in-house. While this in-house manufacturing has increased the confidence of the department's employees, it has also reduced the company's cash outflow.
