Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said on Monday that collective efforts were crucial to building the India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dreams.
“Opening 38 crore accounts under his initiative is a historic step. He has pledged to uplift everyone.”
Jaiswal was addressing a Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme in Manendragarh district. Khelo India players were honoured with medals.
Free health checkups were given to 80 people; 38 were tested for sickle cell disease and 40 for tuberculosis.
A total of 170 persons were registered for the Ujjwala Yojana, 588 for ration cards, 77 for the Vishwakarma Yojana, 67 for the Swanidhi Yojana and 583 for PMAY.
Jaiswal urged the people to clean and decorate nearby places of worship for the consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22.
