CM to pay homage at Veerangana Rani Durgavati’s samadhi

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the bravehearts who sacrifices their lives during the freedom movement will always be respected by society. It is necessary to make today’s generation aware of their sacrifices. Along with the programme being organized in Jabalpur on the Balidan Divas of Rani Durgavati on 24th June, various events should also be organized on her birth anniversary on 5th October.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing the preparations for the programme to be held in Jabalpur on June 24 from Samatva Bhawan on Saturday through video conferencing. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was informed about the preparations for the programme by Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Vijay Shah and Collector Jabalpur.

CM Yadav to take part in Balidan Divas programme

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav along with other public representatives and citizens will participate in the programme being organized at Narrai Nala, Jabalpur on 24th June, on the Balidan Divas of Veerangana Rani Durgavati. Rani Durgavati will be honoured at her Samadhi. A dance drama based on the life of Rani Durgavati will be presented by the Culture Department at the Veterinary College, Jabalpur in another programme on the occasion. A photo exhibition will also be organized by Swaraj Sansthan.

Programmes me will be held every month under the 500th birth centenary celebrations of Rani Durgavati

It was informed in the meeting that this is the 500th birth centenary of Rani Durgavati. On the occasion of her Panch-Shatabdi birth anniversary, essays, quizzes as well as cultural programmes will be organized in schools located in tribal-dominated districts of the state on 5th October. Various programmes me will also be held at the district panchayat level. Programmes will be held in Chhindwara in July, Shahdol in August, and Mandla in September. The main programme will be held in Jabalpur on October<05, in which many dignitaries will participate. Along with Madhya Pradesh, Shaurya Yatras from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh will reach Jabalpur.

Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajoura, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister’s Office Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tribal Affairs Department Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar, and other officers were present.
