As per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian visited Malkangiri district on Tuesday.
He attended the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme and interacted with students from all over the district. He informed that 5,069 eligible students from 10 colleges of the district got the scholarship.
Chief Minister Patnaik inaugurated the launching of Nabin Odisha Magic Card web portal in the district on the birthday of Biju Patnaik. He said the Nabin Odisha Magic Card is a revolutionary next step towards youth empowerment. This would help the students in personality development, reduce the financial burden on parents and create opportunities for career progression and employment.
All students in UG and PG courses across the State are now eligible to register for the Nabin Odisha Magic Card by visiting the link www. magiccard.odisha.gov.in
Later in the day, Pandian attended the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme in Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s University and BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar and informed that 8,480 eligible students from these three institutes got their scholarship. Rs 8.53 crore was sanctioned for the purpose.
