Chief Minister unveils 2,141 development schemes in Ghatshila, Loans up to ₹2 lakh for farmers to be waived

: In a significant push towards the development and empowerment of the State, Chief Minister Champai Soren inaugurated 2,141 development schemes and distributed assets worth approximately ₹71.63 crores to 20,484 beneficiaries at a grand ceremony in Maubhandaar, Ghatsila. 

Addressing a large gathering, Soren emphasized the importance of collective cooperation and participation in transforming Jharkhand. "With everyone's cooperation and participation, we will change the picture and fate of the state," he asserted. He highlighted the government's dedication to creating opportunities for advancement across all sectors and classes through various welfare schemes.

During his speech, the Chief Minister announced several new initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Jharkhand's residents: Free Electricity: Electricity consumers will now receive 200 units of free electricity. Financial Assistance for Women: Financial support will be provided to women aged 25 to 50. Agricultural Loan Waivers: Loans up to ₹2 lakh for farmers will be waived.

These measures are designed to promote economic empowerment and provide essential support to the state's populace.

Reflecting on the past four and a half years, Chief Minister Soren acknowledged the challenges faced, including the global COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these hurdles, he lauded the government's efforts in safeguarding lives and livelihoods while continuing to drive development amidst adverse circumstances.

A major highlight of the event was the Chief Minister's commitment to providing permanent housing for the state's poor and needy. Under the Abua Awas Yojana, 20 lakh individuals will receive permanent homes, ensuring no one has to live in mud houses or slums.

Emphasizing the government's dedication to fulfilling the aspirations of its citizens, Chief Minister Soren spoke about the "Aapki Yojana - Your Government - Your Door" program. This initiative brings government services and welfare benefits directly to people's doorsteps, ensuring efficient problem resolution and accessibility.

Chief Minister Soren outlined the comprehensive development of Jharkhand's infrastructure, including the construction of 15,000 kilometers of roads. He also emphasized efforts to strengthen various sectors such as social, economic, educational, health, agriculture, and employment. Key projects include irrigation initiatives to ensure year-round water supply for fields and a new law mandating jobs for locals in private sector companies.

To enhance educational opportunities, the government is implementing the Guruji Credit Card Yojana, among other schemes, to enable poor children to pursue careers as engineers, doctors, and officers.

Chief Minister Soren highlighted Jharkhand's rich natural and mineral resources, lamenting the state's backwardness despite its wealth. He reiterated the government's resolve to rebuild Jharkhand in line with the aspirations of its people and the sacrifices made during the struggle for statehood.

At the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for schemes worth ₹45.80 crores. This included the foundation of 15 schemes valued at ₹14.88 crores and the inauguration of projects worth ₹30.92 crores. Key schemes included the Abua Housing Scheme, Birsa Green Village Scheme, Chief Minister Kanyadan Scheme, Birsa Irrigation Well Enhancement Scheme, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Scheme, Sarvajan Pension Scheme, Chief Minister Employment Creation Scheme, Scholarship Scheme, Forest Lease Distribution Scheme, and Chief Minister Livestock Scheme.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including MLA Ramdas Soren, MLA Samir Mohanty, MLA Sanjeev Sardar, Jharkhand State Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan, Jharkhand Gau Seva Commission Vice President Raju Giri, District 20-Point Vice President Mohan Karmakar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Arwa Rajkamal, Kolhan Division Commissioner Hari Kumar Keshari, and other senior officials.
