Chief Minister Champai Soren laid the foundation stone, inaugurated various schemes worth Rs 383.70 crore and distributed assets among beneficiaries at the Mega Sports Complex near Dhanbad Airport on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister distributed assets worth Rs. 6973.99011 lakhs among a total of 23,540 beneficiaries. He also laid the foundation stone of 167 schemes of various departments, the construction of which will cost Rs. 16,550 lakhs, and inaugurated a total of 166 schemes constructed at a cost of Rs. 14846 lakhs. The district administration had made extensive arrangements for this program.
Addressing the gathering CM announced loan up to Rs 25 lakhs to unemployed youth with a subsidy of 40%, appointment of 40, 000 assistant teachers, excise and police constables in next three months time in Jharkhand. He also announced implementation of CM Bahan-Beti scheme under which pension would be provided to women in between 25 to fifty years of age and construction of 15 lakh Abua Awas for poor and homeless people of state.He also announced construction of 15,000 km of roads in Jharkhand to ensure better connectivity to rural areas from nearest town besides setting up 325 model school in state for providing quality education to poor and meritorious students at nominal cost..
CM vehemently criticised BJP for its policies that kept Jharkhand a poor state despite being rich in minerals.
The gathering was also addressed by minister Satyanand Bhogta, Badal Patralekh besides MLAs Poornima N Singh and Mathura Prasad Mahto.
The Chief Minister reached Dhanbad from Ranchi by helicopter at around 1 pm and after attending this program, he left for Ranchi at around 4 pm.
On his arrival he was greeted by Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra and Senior Superintendent of Police HP Janardhanan at Dhanbad air strip besides DIG Bokaro range Surendar Jha and others.
