The Indian Federation of Green Energy has conferred the ‘India Green Energy Award, 2024’ upon the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) under the energy department of Chhattisgarh.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday presented the award to CBDA Chief Executive Officer Sumit Sarkar at the national level programme held at New Delhi, an official statement said.
The CBDA has become the winner in the ‘Outstanding Community-Based Green Energy Project’ category.
Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli was also present at the programme.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has extended greetings to the CBDA for the achievement.
CBDA has done remarkable work for more than a decade.
It has connected rural farmers and beneficiaries in the field of biofuels and bio-energy. CBDA’s successful research and development works include biodiesel, bio-ethanol, bio-jet aviation fuel, Bio-CNG, power generation from biogas and grid adjustment.
