The Chhattisgarh BJP on Wednesday passed a resolution hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the "historic and unprecedented" success in parliamentary elections.
In the resolution, moved by senior BJP leader Shivratan Sharma, the BJP executive body noted that "great pride in the impeccable leadership and unwavering commitment" showcased by Modi led to victory in Chhattisgarh too.
“The executive body is not only happy that the party was given a mandate to form government for the third consecutive time, but was also exultant that the party returned to power in three big states including Chhattisgarh," it said.
The country is at present the fifth largest economy in the world and was treading towards getting the position of third largest economy, it added.
