Durgapur Steel plant is aiming for brownfield expansion to 3.42 Mtpa Hot Metal within 36 months after it gets clearance. Comprehensive Project Feasibility Report for said expansion has been prepared by Centre for Engineering and Technology, Ranchi.
A detailed review meeting on the expansion plan was organised at MTI Ranchi today. The meeting was chaired by B P Singh, Director Incharge (DSP & ISP), who gave valuable inputs and guidance during the discussion.
A K Singh, Director (Technical, Projects & Raw Materials) also joined through online mode. He appreciated the challenges took by CET and at the same time emphasized on the need to put more efforts to carry out the expansion plan timely.
SK Verma, ED CET welcomed Director I/c, DSP & ISP and his team and gave the opening remarks with a brief about the entire brownfield expansion plan. S Chakraborty, CGM CET presented the detailed brownfield expansion plan.
The meeting was also attended by Shri P Murugesan, ED (Projects) with a team of senior officials from DSP and concerned officials from CET.
