The State government has decided to hike the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners by three percent. Now employees and pensioners will get 53 percent dearness allowance, increased from 50. The decision to this effect was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
In addition to the DA hike, the cabinet approved several other proposals: The CAG report will be placed in the upcoming assembly session. Administrative approval of Rs 99 crore 56 lakh was given to Vinoba Bhave University for the scheme approved under Meru under the Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign. The proposal to promote former Principal of RIMS Dr. Tulsi Mahato with effect from 31 August 1997 was approved.
The performance audit report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on the management of public health infrastructure and health services in Jharkhand was approved to be tabled in the Legislative Assembly in the upcoming session.
The report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on the welfare of building and other construction workers was approved to be presented in the upcoming session on the table of the Legislative Assembly. The Council of Ministers gave its approval post-deduction on the address given by the Governor in the first session of the Sixth Legislative Assembly.
Approval was given to relax the relevant provision of the Jharkhand Mining Engineering Service Rules, notified for providing relaxation in the necessary condition/eligibility of passing the departmental examination provided in the service rules under a one-time arrangement for making the service confirmation and salary increment estimable from the due date of Assistant Mining Officers appointed/working in the year 2017, with the condition that it would not be affected by the result of the order of the High Court and would not be considered as abrogated.
Approval of the Council of Ministers was given for the adjournment of the first session of the Sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
Approval was given to present the audit report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India related to Finance Accounts Part-1 and II and Appropriation Accounts for the financial year 2023-24 on the table of the Legislative Assembly in the next session.
The Chief Minister has given his consent to the proposal for re-enrollment as Home Guards under a one-time arrangement on compassionate grounds, by relaxing the rules on humanitarian grounds and in special circumstances, of the dependents of Home Guards who died while on duty before implementation of Jharkhand Home Guard (Volunteer) Rules, 2014 from 15.11.2000, and the draft document for approval of the Council of Ministers in this regard.
