Continuous protests have been held against this project since June 12. Today also in the evening, a candle march will be taken out from the second stop, Tulsi Nagar. In which a large number of people will join and register their protest. Former councilor Amit Sharma said that these 29 thousand trees are 50 to 70 years old. People are coming out on the streets to save them.
MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, who arrived during the protest in front of Nutan College on June 14, had also said that the identity of Bhopal is the ponds and the greenery here. Trees will not be cut under any circumstances. The residences of MLAs will be built at such places where there is no scope for cutting trees.
Earlier on June 13, women of Shivaji Nagar and Tulsi Nagar had clung to the trees during the protest. Women said that if trees are cut, they will protest fiercely. Even if the government puts them in jail. The government should not approve the plan.
MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani expressed gratitude to the minister on X.
Former minister PC Sharma wrote on X - Minister has told that the houses being built for MLAs and ministers will not be built in Shivaji Nagar and Tulsi Nagar. I am grateful and thankful to him. But, nothing will happen with tweets. Government should issue orders, and mark the place where this project is being shifted. Tell the public that trees will not be cut there either. This is the victory of the common people. We will not allow tree cutting like this anywhere in Bhopal.
