As per Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s vision for the comprehensive development and public welfare of the state, preparations for the budget of the financial year 2025-26 have begun. To make the budget more public welfare-oriented, suggestions are being invited from the general public. Citizens of the state will be able to share their suggestions to make the state’s budget more effective.
Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda stated that Madhya Pradesh is moving forward to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a Developed India @2047. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the vision for a developed Madhya Pradesh @2047 is being prepared. With the set goals in mind, the budget for the financial year 2025-26 will be prepared to align with the vision of public welfare.
Devda said that the state’s budget has been an important tool for the overall development of the state, ensuring the well-being of citizens, maintaining the pace of sustainable development, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting welfare across all sections of society. The suggestions, guidance, and priorities from various sections of society will help shape the budget into another key step towards comprehensive development. Suggestions for increasing the state’s revenue income will also help in making the budget more public welfare-oriented. Suggestions will be accepted through the MPMyGov portal until January 15, 2025. Citizens should also include their name, city, district, pin code, and mobile number along with their suggestions.
Public can provide suggestions on the following key areas:
Installation of bio-gas, solar energy, wind energy, and solar plants, as well as potential sites for these projects.
Qualitative improvements in electricity, such as smart meters, actual billing instead of average bills, replacing old wires with cables, relocating poles from roadsides, and converting temporary connections to permanent ones.
Improving roads (district roads, state roads, and inter-state highways) and promoting e-transport.
Revival of traditional businesses, sanitation, drinking water, and infrastructure development in rural areas.
Protection, preservation, and free grazing land for cattle and removal of encroachments.
Promotion of production and export in fisheries, poultry farming, dairy production, agriculture, horticulture, and food processing.
Conservation, promotion, and revival of rivers and water sources across the state.
Protection and revival of forests, wildlife, and biodiversity, as well as the development of basic facilities for people living in forest areas.
Development of religious, natural, and historical heritage sites in Madhya Pradesh to promote local tourism.
Infrastructural development in education and how the government can obtain financial support from the public.
Qualitative improvements in industry and employment, such as the establishment of industries in specific areas (manufacturing, food processing, agricultural industries, cottage industries, textiles, toys, stationery, construction materials, forest product processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, etc.).
'One District-One Product' for local products' production and export.
Widening roads, redeveloping old markets, and conceptualizing encroachment-free and slum-free cities.
Development of roads, bridges, parks, and other infrastructure.
Public health services.
Welfare of women and children.
Welfare of marginalized groups like the differently-abled, beggars, homeless, and destitute.
Enhancing revenue collection.
Administrative reforms.
Other important issues.
