Swachhta Pakhwada concludes at PVUNL
The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri were celebrated with utmost honour at PVUNL on October 2. The event was attended by PVUNL CEO RK Singh, General Managers (HODs), Rita Singh, President Swarnarekha Mahila Samiti and members of Mahila Samiti. The event began with lighting of lamps, which were conducted by Singh and Rita Singh. In his address, Singh highlighted the contemporary relevance of Mahatma Gandhi's ideals and discussed the freedom struggle movements. All the officials paid floral tributes and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Swachhata Abhiyan conducted by JRG Bank
On October 2, around 100 officers and employees of Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank (JRG Bank) led by Bank Chairman Madan Mohan Bariyar conducted a Swachhata Abhiyan at Tagore Hill, Ranchi from 7:00 am under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan sponsored by Government of India and under the motto of the bank “Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Aur”. The aim of this campaign is not only to clean the environment but also to highlight the importance of cleanliness. Also, under the Swachh Mudra Week organized by Reserve Bank of India, Regional Office, Ranchi, the message of exchange of clean notes, daily distribution of coins and exchange of notes and coins is also spread among the general public through this campaign.
Gandhi Jayanti celebrated at CUJ
On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Book Reading and Creative Club of the Department of Business Administration, Central University Jharkhand organised a series of activities including poster making, extempore, creative writing, just a minute sessions and storytelling presided over by research scholar Hemant Raj and supervised by Professor Dr Bhagwan Singh. The purpose of the event was to promote the ideas of Gandhiji and Shastri ji among the students. A total of 84 students from various departments participated. The judges panel comprised of Dr Kiran Jalem and Dr Vikas Ranjan Parida from Geo- Informaticd Department and Dr Veerendra Bharti and Dr Shikha Chaurasia from Civil Engineering Department.
Hindi Diwas Celebration at Canara Bank
As per the instructions of the Official Language Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, “Hindi Pakhwada” was celebrated from September 14 to September 30 at Canara Bank, Zonal Office, Ranchi under the able guidance of General Manager Sujit Kumar Sahu. “Hindi Diwas Celebration” was organized on October 1 under the chairmanship of Sahu. Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Hindi Department, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh was the dignified guest in this program.
