Hry CM to launch statewide HAPPY Card distribution in Karnal today

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will launch the statewide distribution of HAPPY Cards at the state-level program to be organized in Karnal on June 7. During the program, the Chief Minister will also distribute HAPPY Cards to the beneficiaries. An official spokesman said that during the program, Saini will also interact with the beneficiaries of 7 other districts - Kaithal, Hisar, Jind, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani and Kurukshetra through video conferencing. He said that all other depots/sub-depots of the state will be able to watch the state-level program on big screens through a YouTube webcast. He further said that the beneficiaries have been informed through SMS to collect their cards.

AAP congratulates Manish Tewari on becoming MP

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chandigarh on Thursday welcomed India Alliance MP from Chandigarh, Manish Tewari on his election as a Lok Sabha Member during a function held at Shaheed Udham Singh Bhawan.  On this occasion, Mayor Kuldeep Kumar congratulated Tiwari on becoming the MP and said that first BJP was ousted from Chandigarh Municipal Corporation under India Alliance and now in the Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have completely wiped out BJP from Chandigarh. He also congratulated the people of Chandigarh for this.  Dr. SS Ahluwalia felicitated Manish Tiwari by giving him a Siropa on this occasion and while congratulating him on becoming a Lok Sabha member, said that behind Tiwari becoming a Lok Sabha member, there has been good coordination between AAP and Congress at every level. The people of Chandigarh have not only made him an MP, but have also broken the ego of BJP, which was there in every leader of BJP for the last 10 years. BJP did not even know about the condition of the public during its tenure and common people were left at the mercy of God.

 Hry Govt invites nominations for Padma Awards

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government on Thursday invited nominations for recommendations of the Padma Awards, including Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri These awards hold significance as they are among the highest civilian honors and will be announced on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2025. In a letter addressed by Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad  to  Administrative   Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners of the state, it has been specified that recommendations for the Padma Awards should be sent to political2.hry@ gmail.com or dysecypolitical.cse@hry.gov by August 15, 2024. Only nominations submitted online will be considered, and any received after the deadline will not be taken into account. The Padma Awards, namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri, are recognized as the highest civilian awards of the country. These awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day to acknowledge exceptional achievements and contributions in various fields such as Arts, Literature, Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs, Civil Service, Trade and Industry etc.
