On the auspicious occasion of Navami during Shardiya Navratri, Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan, along with his wife Neena Narayan and family, performed the traditional Kanya Pujan at their residence in Sector 1. The ritual was carried out with full devotion and adherence to religious customs.
As part of the ceremony, the MLA worshipped nine young girls, symbolizing the nine forms of Goddess Durga, and a young boy representing Batuk Bhairav. Following the prayers, he personally served them food and offered them gifts and blessings before bidding them farewell.
Speaking on the occasion, Biranchi Narayan emphasized, “The worship of feminine power is an integral part of our culture. This is why the ritual of Kanya Pujan is observed on the ninth day of Navratri.”
