The Delhi BJP has hit out at the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday for seeking bail on the grounds of health, asking him to ‘stop playing his sickness drama’ and return back to Tihar jail on SUnday after campaigning, as ordered by the Supreme Court while granting the AAP supremo interim bail on May 11.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said, “It is regrettable to see Arvind Kejriwal who has in best health campaigned during the last 20 days after getting bail now claiming to be seriously ill and seeking medical bail.”
Expressing shock over seeing Kejriwal, who has been widely campaigning in scorching heat, he said, “It is shocking that he was campaigning perfectly fine and now is claiming to be sick before the court of law and general public. It's strange that a man who actively campaigns in the public eye before the media wants the same media to run his fake illness news.”
Asking him to surrender before the magistrate if the AAP convenor has an iota of ethics left in him, Sachdeva said, “Arvind Kejriwal got his bail on the condition of surrendering on 2nd June but once out he has tried to get the orders changed and is shamelessly fighting in every Court possible to get the bail extended.
If iota of moral value is left in Arvind Kejriwal then he should stop playing illness and legal melodrama and surrender before the concerned duty magistrate early tomorrow morning.”
