BJP Bokaro district president Jaidev Rai has urged Congress state president to clarify the party's stance on North Indians. This demand follows a Congress legislator's comparison of North Indians to Bangladeshi infiltrators, sparking significant controversy.
Rai emphasized, "For the BJP, the country comes first, while for the Congress, votes come first." He accused the Congress-JMM government of vote-bank politics that endanger the state's identity and traditions, particularly in regions bordering Bengal.
The BJP held a protest in Naya More, burning an effigy of the Congress party. Rai and other BJP leaders criticized the state government's alleged appeasement policies and raised concerns about demographic changes in Santhal Pargana.
The protest saw participation from several BJP leaders including district Vice President Kamlesh Rai, Dilip Srivastava, Leela Devi, District General Secretary Sanjay Tyagi, Indra Kumar Jha, Mathur Mandal, Vinay Kishore, Manoj Singh, Panna Lal Kandu, Baidyanath Prasad, Anil Singh, Prakash Chatterjee etc .
