Jharkhand Silk, Textile and Handloom Development Corporation Limited (Jharcraft), a leading producer of organic handicraft and textile products in the country, which comes under the Jharkhand government's undertaking, is a well-known name in the country and abroad for its products, whose silk is highly appreciated. To make its products reach more and more people, today Jharcraft has opened its exclusive showroom in the premises of Cottage Industry located on Janpath, Delhi. It was inaugurated by Minister of Industry, Labour Employment, Training and Skill Development, Jharkhand Government, Satyanand Bhokta.
On this occasion, Bhokta said that Jharcraft provides employment to many artisans along with the production and sale of excellent products. The campus of Central Cottage Industries is a famous campus. Customers come here not only from the country but also from abroad. We hope that with this effort of ours, Jharcraft will get new dimensions.
This is the first time in Delhi that any other brand has got a place in the campus of Central Cottage Industries, which is an achievement for Jharkhand.
On this occasion, Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Jharkhand, Praveen Toppo said that Jharcraft has taken this new step with the aim of ensuring the growth of handloom and textile industry at national and international level. Jharcraft is moving towards quality and innovation in handloom and textile industry with the concept of 'Make in India'. Industries Department of Jharkhand Government is increasing its commitment to support the mission of Jharkhand (Creating opportunity Changing Lives).
On this occasion, Managing Director of Jharcraft, Kirtishri said that Jharcraft is a leading producer of pure organic, shiny tassar silk. Jharcraft is providing employment to reelers, spinners, weavers, craftsmen and others of the state. Here in our products, a mixture of different Kantha, Jaipuri and others of Jharkhand's traditional art Sohrai, Jadupatia etc. is available. Our products include traditional crafts of Jharkhand, sarees, designer kurtis, salwar suits, shawls, home decorative products, bed sheets, bags and other products. Jharcraft was earlier present in Jharkhand, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, we are expecting a lot of business from this new showroom in Central Cottage Industries premises.
