The agitation of assistant policemen started once again in the capital city. Today the assistant policemen were going to surround the Raj Bhavan but before that the police stopped them at Morhabadi ground.

The assistant policemen are protesting at Morhabadi ground regarding their demands. As per the scheduled program, today the agitators had left from Morhabadi ground to surround the Raj Bhavan but they have been stopped at Morhabadi ground itself. A large number of police personnel under the leadership of City DSP are deployed at Morhabadi ground and are trying to convince the assistant police personnel.

On Tuesday, while talking to the media in this regard, a policeman of the Assistant Police Jawan Sangh said that they have been working on a monthly honorarium of only Rs 10 thousand since 2017. It is not possible to run a family with Rs 10 thousand now. There is a severe shortage of police personnel in the state. In such a situation, they should be adjusted on the vacant posts of police service.

The agitation of assistant policemen started again from July 1. He has once again reached the capital and sat in Morhabadi ground. It is worth mentioning that in the year 2017, these assistant policemen were appointed to help maintain law and order in 12 Naxal-affected districts of the state. The assistant policemen who have been working for seven years are demanding permanent jobs. Two years ago also, a long agitation of assistant policemen was carried out in Morhabadi ground. However, after the extension of service, the assistant policemen had postponed their agitation.
