Bharatiya Janata Party's state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev alleged that anti-national forces were active in the assembly elections. Pratul said that the manner in which the CPI Maoists have issued a statement and congratulated the people of Jharkhand on the defeat of the alliance led by the Bharatiya Janata Party is very suspicious. Pratul said that according to the media, Azad, the chief spokesperson of the Eastern Regional Bureau of the Maoists, has issued a statement expressing happiness over the defeat of the BJP.
Pratul said that this is a very suspicious matter because these extremists had distributed pamphlets throughout the state before the elections and called for a boycott of the elections. How can an organization that does not believe in elections be so happy with the defeat of a particular party? Pratul said, have such organizations hatched a big conspiracy behind the scenes during the elections? Pratul said that till date it has never happened that a banned organization like the Maoists, which attacks the unity and integrity of the country, has reacted in this manner to someone losing the elections. A high-level investigation of this entire matter is required.
Pratul said that in the same way, the role of many NGOs involved in illegal activities was also suspicious. These NGOs, which are engaged in anti-national activities and are flourishing with foreign funding, worked hard to defeat the candidates of BJP or the alliance. The purpose of such NGOs is not to serve the common man but to directly interfere in politics, which is unfortunate. Pratul said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has earlier also demanded an investigation into the NGOs promoting many wrong things including religious conversion. Pratul demanded the central government and the state government to investigate the activities of such NGOs during the elections and put a check on them.
Meanwhile, Congress MLA Dr Irfan Ansari has taken a dig at former BJP MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi. He said that you had gone to run a bulldozer on my house, but what did the public do to you. I had explained to you many times that you should remain secular, but after joining BJP, your entire appearance changed.
