AIIMS Bhopal student receives ICMR-PG thesis

Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, congratulated Dr. Karmugil Tamil, a postgraduate (MD) student from the Department of Biochemistry, for securing the highly competitive ICMR-PG Thesis 2023 Financial Support. Among over 1,000 applicants, Dr. Karmugil was awarded a grant of Rs 1 lakh for her groundbreaking research proposal.
Dr. Karmugil's research will focus on evaluating serum IgA levels in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and bronchiectasis treated at AIIMS Bhopal. This study aims to deepen the understanding of the pathogenesis of recurrent infections associated with these conditions, which significantly affect the Indian population. The findings from this research are expected to contribute to better management and treatment strategies for these diseases.
"This achievement not only highlights the academic excellence of our students but also underscores AIIMS Bhopal's commitment to advancing medical research that addresses critical health issues in India,” said {rpf Ajai Singh.
