Hours after his nomination bid earned the assent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central command, party candidate from Budhni, Ramakant Bhargava, visited the mountaintop temple of Salkanpur and sought blessings from the presiding deity.

The BJP nominee later addressed party workers from the constituency at the dharamshala in Salkanpur. He sought unified support from party members and underlined that this election was not merely about him, but also about former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the entire BJP.

The election represents the aspirations of each resident and party worker in the constituency, he said, while urging everyone to participate in the party campaign like a family.

Party workers garlanded the BJP candidate at several locations in the constituency. Salaknpur Mandal President Premnarayan Meena and other leaders and workers welcomed Bhargava to the area and assured him of a resounding victory.

Residents in Budhni celebrated the official announcement of Bhargava's candidature with fireworks, and a festive atmosphere prevailed at the party office.
