Hours after his nomination bid earned the assent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central command, party candidate from Budhni, Ramakant Bhargava, visited the mountaintop temple of Salkanpur and sought blessings from the presiding deity.
The BJP nominee later addressed party workers from the constituency at the dharamshala in Salkanpur. He sought unified support from party members and underlined that this election was not merely about him, but also about former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the entire BJP.
The election represents the aspirations of each resident and party worker in the constituency, he said, while urging everyone to participate in the party campaign like a family.
Party workers garlanded the BJP candidate at several locations in the constituency. Salaknpur Mandal President Premnarayan Meena and other leaders and workers welcomed Bhargava to the area and assured him of a resounding victory.
Kartikeya Singh Chouhan, District President Ravi Malviya, Temple Committee President Mahesh Upadhyay, Ramgopal Tailor, Arvind Dubey, and Rikhiram Yadav attended the ceremony.
Residents in Budhni celebrated the official announcement of Bhargava's candidature with fireworks, and a festive atmosphere prevailed at the party office.
Leaders and workers congratulated each other and shared sweets. Celebrations took place in Bhairunda, Rehti, Budhni, and other locations.
At Rehti, Salkanpur Mandal President Premnarayan Meena, senior leader Asaram Yadav, Anar Singh Chouhan, Rajendra Meena Patel, and other leaders celebrated, while in Bhairunda, leaders and workers gathered at the Durga Temple intersection to set off fireworks and distribute sweets to express joy.
Celebratory fireworks were also set off by the Bhairunda Mandal of the BJP. Minister in charge for Sehore Jitendra Gaud, District Treasurer Om Patel, Mandal President Dheeraj Patel, Municipal Council President Maruti Shishir, and several other BJP officials and workers were present.
In Budhni, Shahganj, Baktra, and other locations, leaders and workers celebrated the announcement of BJP candidate Ramakant Bhargav with great enthusiasm by setting off firecrackers.
At Shahganj, workers took to the streets and marched to Bhargava's residence while beating drums and celebrating the occasion.
