Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Thursday said the MLAs of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party have paralysed the Assembly during the budget session by coming into the well of the house and create a ruckus.
Levelling this charge, Bidhuri also said instead of taking action against them, the Speaker of the Assembly does not even warn them. Bidhuri claimed all this was being done every day as part of a planned conspiracy to save Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from the ED inquiry.
Bidhuri said a week had passed since the beginning of the budget session but the government, accepting its failure, did not present the budget. The budget is not even known yet. Lakhs of rupees are spent by the taxpayers of Delhi on the assembly session but no results are visible, he said.
Every day the assembly proceedings begin and then the ruling party MLAs come to the well and start making noise. It never happens in democratic history that the MLAs of the ruling party create a ruckus and adjourn the meeting, Bidhuri said.
The Speaker of the Assembly, who gets the opposition MLAs thrown out of the House on small issues, also keeps watching this whole drama silently and does not even warn any MLA to throw him out. After this, the House is adjourned for the next day. This drama has been happening continuously for the last several days, Bidhuri said.
He said Kejriwal does not want to appear before the ED for investigation and he has also told the court in this regard that he is busy in the Assembly session while he has not come to the Assembly for many days. The budget session has been deliberately prolonged so that it can avoid ED investigation.
The Leader of the Opposition said no serious issue is being discussed in the Assembly session and it is being adjourned after one or two hours of proceedings.
