Five extremists including the PLFI area commander who got the disputed land captured at gunpoint in Ranchi have been arrested.
Based on the secret information received by Ranchi SSP, Chandan Kumar Sinha, the police team took action and arrested five militants including the area commander of the PLFI militant organization near the Lalgutwa Overbridge in Nagdi police station area.
The arrested militants include area commander Rohit Baraik, Neeraj Paik, Anmol Baraik, Rohit Singh and Kali Toppo. Two country-made pistols, Rs 1.50 lakh, a Thar and a Scorpio vehicle along with many other items have been recovered from them. The SSP gave this information in a press conference on Monday evening.
The SSP had received information that the PLFI militants had come to Nagdi police station area to carry out a major extortion incident for extortion. The SSP received the information, after which a police team was formed. The police team took action and arrested all the five militants.
Area commander Rohit Baraik does land business in many police station areas of Ranchi. They capture the land with the help of their other associates and take money from the land dealer and get the disputed land captured at gunpoint.
