A complaint has been lodged with Koh-e-Fiza police after two suspicious youths entered the emergency ward of Hamidia Hospital last night by claiming to be policemen and questioned the doctor about a patient.
When the doctor questioned them on suspicion, they escaped the spot.
The incident was reported late in the night on Wednesday. CMO Dr. Manoj Raje said that he was sitting in my room at 10:10 pm, when two people came straight to me. They said that they came from Sagar.
They asked about a patient. They were talking indecently and threateningly which raised suspicion that they were not policemen. When they were asked which police station they were from, they could not tell. They were asking about the patient OP Chhatrapal. They could not even show their ID card.
When security was called one of them escaped. When the security personnel questioned the other youth, he kept calling himself a policeman. No documents related to the patient Chhatrapal were found with him. After a while, he also escaped.
Hamidia hospital management told that when both were being questioned, they were calling the concerned patient a criminal. They said that the patient has rape charges. He had jumped from the roof after which he was put here. Hospital management says that the patient with this name has been discharged. He had come like normal patients. In this entire incident, Hamidia hospital security is also seen to have failed, so how did both of them escape from there during the interrogation.
Police Station Incharge of Kohefiza Brijendra Merscole said that two people had come here claiming to be policemen. Hamidia hospital management has complained about the matter. The matter is being verified right now.
