Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme' (FTI-TTP) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Friday.
The Delhi airport has become the first in the country to launch the FTI-TTP for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. This first facility in India aims to significantly reduce congestion at airports by offering expedited immigration clearance for pre-verified travelers, both arriving and departing.
The programme is a step towards modernising India's immigration system and improving travel efficiency for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.
