Delhi BJP OBC Morcha staged a protest outside Congress headquarters over Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi remarks on reservations during his recent visit to America demanding an apology from himThey warned that protests would continue nationwide if Rahul Gandhi does not apologize for his statement against the OBC community and burnt his effigies of Rahul Gandhi as a mark of anger.
Addressing the protesters, South Delhi BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stated that there is widespread anger among the backward classes while emphasising that reservations, provided by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, are an integral part of the Indian Constitution.
Highlighting that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, belongs to the OBC community, and under his government, a large number of ministers also come from backward classes, Bidhuri noted that several prominent leaders, like the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, also hail from OBC backgrounds, and the Modi government granted constitutional status to the OBC Commission.
“The Modi government has introduced several welfare schemes for the backward communities, such as the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which provides loans between Rs 10,000 and Rs 50,000 for small businesses. Additionally, financial assistance ranging from RS 1,00,000 to Rs 3,00,000 is being made available for the upliftment of the OBC, SC, and ST communities,” he said.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized Rahul Gandhi’s behavior, accusing him of acting according to PR company instructions when in India.
