Yogi: UP’s bulldozers  will crush Naxalites

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held two public meetings and a roadshow on Sunday, the last day of Chhattisgarh assembly election campaigning. During the campaign for the second consecutive day, Congress and Naxalites remained the targets of Chief Minister Yogi’s attack.

Accusing Naxalite elements of killing Bharatiya Janata Party worker Ratan Dubey at the behest of Congress, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that those responsible for the murder would have to face the consequences.

“The murder reflects the frustrations of the Congress and Naxals. They know that a double-engine government is coming and the moment it arrives, the bulldozers of UP will crush them,” he asserted.

The chief minister also said that the killing of BJP workers, poor and tribals in the name of love jihad would not be accepted.

Taking a dig at Congress, Yogi Adityanath said that scam after scam had become the culture of Congress, adding that once in power the BJP would get their scams investigated.

Seeking votes for BJP candidate Swayam Mukka from Konta assembly constituency at a public meeting, Yogi Adityanath said: “Just yesterday you must have seen that a new scam of Mahadev App has surfaced. It is said that people close to the Chhattisgarh government have defrauded lakhs of poor people of more than Rs 500 crore. This Congress government has gone two steps ahead of Lalu Prasad’s fodder scam and is eating cow dung.”

He added: “Committing scam after scam, including cow dung, mining, coal, public service commission scams etc. has become the culture of Congress. To stop this trend, Chhattisgarh needs a double-engine government. This government is neck deep in scams. Let the BJP government come, we will get all scams investigated. You must have seen how those who rob the public's hard-earned money are punished in UP. Those who commit robbery on the earnings of the poor should be given similar punishment.”

The UP chief minister said that the Congress government played with faith. “When the BJP government was not there in UP, people were not allowed to celebrate festivals there. They did not allow the kanwar yatra to be taken out. Today four crore people participate in kanwar yatras between Ghaziabad and Haridwar. Along with giving them permission to play DJ, blow conch, ring bell and gong, flowers are showered on kanwariyas from helicopters. When the intentions of the government are fair, right things happen. The poor should not be helpless and criminals and mafia should not be allowed to rob their properties and rights,” he remarked.

Urging people to vote for BJP candidate Maniram Kashyap from Bastar assembly constituency, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that once the double-engine government of BJP was back in Chhattisgarh, it would end Naxalism and stop immoral acts of religious conversion.

He paid tribute to district panchayat member and district vice-president of BJP, Ratan Dubey, and said Naxalite elements had killed Ratan Dubey at the behest of Congress.

Chief Minister Yogi further remarked: “BJP worker Ishwar Sahu is contesting election from Saja. A malicious attempt was made to convert a girl from his village to Islam by luring and deceiving her through love jihad. The girl’s protest and complaint were not heard. On the instigation of Congress leaders, Ishwar’s son Bhuvaneshwar Sahu was murdered just because he was helping the girl. Killing of BJP workers, poor and tribals in the name of love jihad will not be accepted.”

Yogi also remembered former MP Baliram Kashyap. He said that projects worth Rs 12,000 crore that came up in Bastar under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were a humble tribute to Baliram Kashyap.
